Kate Varini

Kate Varini currently holds the post of Associate professor at HEVS, the Swiss University of Applied Sciences located in Sierre, Switzerland. Here Kate spends 70% of her time teaching tourism related topics such as Innovation Management & Business Management. The rest of her time dedicated to research related to the development of tools and processes to drive Total Revenue Management in tourism related businesses such as resorts, ski lifts and special train experiences. Kate was an early adopter of digital learning while working as a senior lecturer at the Lausanne Hotel School, and has been developing online learning products since 2002. As a social entrepreneur, her most recent product is a MOOC platform dedicated to the tourism and hospitality sector. Kate is a trained Team Academy Team Coach and is currently developing a Certificate in Advance Studies for Senior Revenue Managers.
