The Covid19 crisis has wreaked havoc across the entire world, with impacts both personal and economical for everyone. However, admidst the fallout, brands have a duty to respond, both to protect their stakeholders, but also to support society and the economy. We discuss with Riccardo Sciutto what impact the crisis has had on his brand, Sergio Rossi, and moreover, what comes next.

Who is Riccardo Sciutto?

Ricardo Sciutto was appointed Ceo of Sergio Rossi in April 2016 and brought unique insights and expertise from his successful and diverse business career, gained through various prestigeous positions held in the Fashion and Consumer Industry, most recently culminating in the General manager Direction of the jewelry brand Pomellato and Dodo and as General Manager of Hogan - Tod's Group.

During his career he focused his attention on new business opportunities promoting technology innovation and embracing digital revolution. From product development to customer experience, with a strong focus on e-commerce sales, personalization and a solid omnichannel strategy, He persues the perfect balance between thinking heritage and playing digital.

 

About Sergio Rossi

The footwear brand was established in the 1951 and is rooted in the expertise of its eponymous founder. In 2016, with a new management team, Sergio Rossi makes a fresh start through its DNA finding its authentic identity and with the aim to reach the highest growth on the international markets.

The launch of the sr1 collection, first step of a new beginning, took inspiration from the historical archive. It was first presented in Milan for the SS 2017 Collection, focused on daywear. The product is timeless and for a dynamic woman that doesn’t take herself too seriously.

The company will continue fostering the craftsmanship culture at the facility in San Mauro Pascoli, where 120 craft professionals pass on their expertise through the generations. This distinctiveness has been preserved the decades and quality materials and craftsmanship remain the cornerstones of Sergio Rossi.
